R PROJECT MULTICAM AI

AI MULTICAM EDITOR · ADOBE PREMIERE PRO

AI multicam editor for Adobe Premiere Pro

R Project Multicam AI analyzes the music on your Premiere Pro timeline and turns that analysis into a reviewable camera-switch plan. It is designed for multicamera footage where rhythm, camera coverage and main music drops matter.

What an AI multicam editor does

Traditional multicam editing requires an editor to watch several synchronized camera angles, listen for musical changes and manually choose every switch. R Project Multicam AI automates the planning stage: it reads beat timing, BPM, phrases, energy changes, build-ups, breakdowns and main-drop candidates, then selects among the video tracks you enable.

The result is not a locked final video. You can inspect the camera plan before applying it, keep unused clips for review and continue refining the timeline in Premiere Pro.

Automatic camera cuts that follow the music

You can use fixed 2, 4, 6 or 8-beat pacing, or allow several intervals so the music map can influence shot duration. Validated main drops can interrupt the normal cadence and force a camera change exactly where the music impact occurs.

A physical timeline cut is made when the selected camera changes. Same-camera decisions remain continuous, helping avoid unnecessary razor cuts while keeping the edit aligned to musical decision points.

Camera roles and footage coverage

Every multicam project is different. Enable only the camera tracks you want to use and assign roles that match your footage. When a preferred angle has no footage at a decision point, the system checks other enabled cameras that cover the interval. If no enabled alternative has coverage, the original footage is preserved rather than creating an empty angle.

Designed for DJ sets, concerts and event videos

Music-first editing is especially useful for DJ live sets, festivals, concerts, nightclub content and event recaps. Fast sections can use shorter beat intervals while calmer sections can breathe with longer shots. Main-drop camera selection gives important musical moments a deliberate visual change.

For a dedicated live-set workflow, see the DJ multicam editing guide.

How to use Multicam AI in Premiere Pro

  1. Synchronize each camera and place it on a separate video track.
  2. Place the music or live-set audio you want to analyze on A1.
  3. Choose the full sequence or define an In/Out range.
  4. Analyze the music to build the beat, BPM and structure map.
  5. Enable cameras, set their roles and choose pacing.
  6. Generate and review the camera plan.
  7. Apply the edit to the Premiere Pro timeline and review the complete result.

Local music analysis and optional online AI

Core music analysis runs locally using FFmpeg/DSP. Optional online AI review can be used with a supported API key, but it is not required for the core beat and music-map workflow. Provider fees, where applicable, are separate from the plugin license.

Windows and macOS support

R Project Multicam AI has public installers for Windows and macOS. Adobe Premiere Pro is required and sold separately. Check the current release notes and compatibility details for the Premiere version and operating system you use.
